Hi. I'm Amber Monroe. I've been teaching since 2000, most of those years in first grade. I am married and have a daughter who keeps me on my toes. Spending time with them is my favorite thing to do. We also have pets that we love.
I am very involved with my church. I enjoy exercising, decorating, and especially teaching.
I am so happy that you stopped by School Is a Happy Place. I hope you find something that makes your teaching life just a little easier.
Amber just found your awesome blog. Thanks for the great ideas and freebies.
ReplyDeleteDo you have the file for the cute covers to your math with someone? That would be so much easier to keep track of what centers students have completed. Thanks

Hi Amber,
ReplyDeleteI'm Leslie and I blog at TeachJunkie.com and KindergartenWorks.com. I love sharing the work that teacher bloggers do (like you!) and wanted to swing an idea past you.
You have a post: http://schoolisahappyplace.blogspot.com/2013/12/pete-cat-saves-christmas-literacy-and.html that I want to feature on TeachJunkie.com and write up a summary about it and link people to your post. Could I use a graphic from your post in my article?
Here's an example of someone else's feature that has a graphic and a link that is a good example of what yours might look like: http://www.teachjunkie.com/organization/classroom-library-in-6-steps/
And just because I like what you do - I'd also like to know if I came across more fantastic things on your site, if that'd be cool to do more in the future... or if you'd want to have me email you again for permission with each of those ideas. I love to round up popular collections that send massive amounts of traffic!
Please email me (since the "notify me" button in the comments isn't working {eep} I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Leslie

Hi Leslie,
DeleteI like her Blog too!
Cathy
Could you tell me the brand of ipad stand you have on your blog?
ReplyDeleteDon't know if this message was received--I had a service interruption just as I was sending it! Love the Summer Break Review book. Is there a way to get the dotted lines between sight words (and numbers and letters) to print as they appear in the print preview? I like that look, and I think the students would like cutting them apart to make game cards. Thanks! Karen
ReplyDeleteHow do I get Rockin Touch Points? When I click on the picture it doesn't go to that activity.
ReplyDeletedo you have an editable doc for the freebie of "you've got mail"? I teach pre-k and want to use that but the words are too hard for my kids and I wanted to do pre primer words
ReplyDeleteThank you for your awesome resources, sharing, and ideas!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the number line you have created. I am wanting to message you to see if you could make a number line to 120? Thoughts? We are going to use the life size one this upcoming week and I would love to have a full numbers to 100 or 120 to put up in the classroom.
Hello.... I just found your blog and am thrilled. Thank you for offering so many wonderful ideas and freebies. I was wondering if you would by chance adding more years to your free Chalk Calendar. I love the design and would love to be able to use it for a few years to come. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIs there any way to get the summer Break review for kindergarten in a form that I can edit? I would love to change the sight words to the ones my school uses. Also, it makes having it translated into Spanish much easier as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Can you update your out with the old, in with the new booklet to include a 2020 page? I'd so appreciate it. Also, this is a perfect booklet for the word problems we are currently doing.
ReplyDeleteHi! I love your chalkboard calendar and have been using it for years! Can you please update the years to 2023 and 2024? Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI am also anxiously hoping you update the year for your chalkboard calendar set!
